Dr. Short earned his Doctor of Chiropractic (DC) degree from Palmer College of Chiropractic, where he found his calling at the intersection of human anatomy, neurology and natural healing. After graduation, he moved to South America to treat the indigenous people in the highlands of Peru before eventually moving back to the United States and opening a chiropractic practice with his wife in Danville, Ky. After 20 years of practice, they now own, manage and lead Bluegrass Chiro, which is the largest chiropractic organization in Kentucky with 13 locations.
In his book, The Ultimate Chiropractic Practice, Dr. Short builds upon his decades of experience by offering practical tips for running a successful chiropractic office, advice about how to effectively manage patients, and suggestions for how to become a better leader.
As Associate Vice President of Chiropractic Education at Campbellsville University, Dr. Short has been instrumental in building and shaping a new model for chiropractic education. He looks forward to sharing his passions for healing patients and running a successful business with future leaders in the chiropractic profession.
Dr. Foshang joined Campbellsville University in January 2021 as Dean of Chiropractic Education. He has been instrumental in establishing the first and only School of Chiropractic in Kentucky, drawing upon his decades of combined experience in clinical, classroom and boardroom settings.
Dr. Foshang completed an honors bachelor of kinesiology and sports medicine degree (HBKin) from Lakehead University in Thunder Bay, Ontario, Canada. He then earned his Doctor of Chiropractic (DC) degree from Logan University and completed a Radiology Residency and board certification at Parker University.
Prior to his appointment at Campbellsville, Dr. Foshang served on the Council of Chiropractic Education, as the Dean of the College of Chiropractic at Northwestern Health Sciences University, and as the President of the American Chiropractic College of Radiology. He also brings to Campbellsville significant experience in radiology consulting, curricular program design, accreditation, and teaching.
Erica Callahan, DC, MSACN
Professor of Clinical Nutrition & Biochemistry
As a clinical faculty member and associate professor at Northeast College of Health Sciences (formerly New York Chiropractic College), she has over a decade of experience teaching chiropractic students about natural health care, including assessment, diagnosis, and management for the chiropractic and nutrition patient. She joined Campbellsville University in September 2021 as the Professor of Clinical Nutrition and Biochemistry.
Dr. Callahan’s passion is to teach students and patients how to fully understand the biochemical and physiological basis of cellular and organ system interactions – both in health and disease – and show how lifestyle choices can promote optimal health.
Gary Mumaugh, D.C.
Dr. Mumaugh received his B.S. and D.C. from Southern California University of Health Sciences.
Dr. Mumaugh has been actively involved in healthcare for twenty-six years as a Chiropractic Orthopedist treating 10,000 patients with a multitude of post-traumatic orthopedic problems in several multi-discipline clinical settings. He retired from clinical practice to teach and pour into students. As a retired Chiropractic Physician and not a classical academician, he looks at teaching as giving a very practical hands-on style to his students. He believes that teaching should be fun, practical and hands on. He loves to present subject matter and bring to the class practical real-life examples. His teaching style is very interactive utilizing multimedia, when possible. He loves using technology in teaching, utilizing class websites and internet enhancements to put more resources at the student’s fingertips. He uses the table on cloud from Anatomage to bring the digital cadavers into the lecture classroom. He brings humor and fun into the classroom, and he teaches with passion that helps to ignite the flames within students and to help them realize their goals.
Brian Wentz, D.C.
Dr. Wentz graduated summa cum laude from Palmer College of Chiropractic in 2002. He has been serving patients in private practice for the past 20 years before joining the staff here at Campbellsville University School of Chiropractic in the summer of 2022. As the Director of Clinical Education, Dr. Wentz will be overseeing all aspects of the student clinic along with teaching some of the Methods (adjusting) classes. His 20 years of clinical experience will assist students to successfully transition from the student clinic setting into their clerkship program.
Dr. Wentz lives in Harrodsburg along with his wife, Angie, and their six children.
Roger Kevin Pringle, DC, M.Ed.
Dr. Pringle returned to academics after 20+ years of clinical practice in Texas. He worked at Kelsey-Seybold Medical Group in Houston, Texas where he worked in the sub specialty clinic in the Spine Center with 3 surgeons and 7-8 Physical Medicine and Rehab physicians. He spent 5 years at the VA Hospital and the PM&R clinic in Houston, Tx and Temple, TX. He went to LACC and graduated in 1993, and he completed a Master’s degree in Motor Behavior from the University of Houston.
Dr. Fox is originally from England and had a successful career in mechanical engineering for over a decade before deciding to pursue a vocation in chiropractic. A chance meeting with a local chiropractor, followed by many deep conversations, caused Dr. Fox to reevaluate his career choices, leading him to realize that he wanted to help people, not sit in a cubicle. Changing countries and careers, Dr. Fox graduated magna cum laude from Palmer College of Chiropractic West in 2003. After graduating from Palmer West, he was invited to join the faculty as an adjunct instructor. Following his wife’s graduation from Palmer West, both Dr. Foxes moved to Reno, Nevada, where they ran a very successful chiropractic practice for 18 years. Dr. Fox has also worked within the California Workers’ Compensation system and the US Department of Veteran Affairs.
Teaching has always been a calling for Dr. Fox, whether it be instructing students in martial arts or math, or teaching patients how to lead healthier and more functional lives. He has gained a wide range of experience over the years teaching students in a variety of different educational environments. Dr. Fox joined the faculty at Campbellsville University School of Chiropractic in 2022, having been deeply impressed with the scope and clinical focus of the chiropractic program being offered.
Dr. Fox is committed to providing the best chiropractic education he can and supporting the students in their endeavors, and he has found the best environment in which to do that.
